With this site, we endeavor to provide a comprehensive guide to the guitar effect pedals and other electronic music products released under the BOSS brand by the Roland Corporation from 1974 to present.
The compact BOSS guitar pedal, introduced in 1977, represents the core of the brand and our primary area of focus. Our longer term goal is to document the full range of BOSS products. This includes twin pedals, multi-effects, drum machines, keyboard mixers, digital recorders… and who knows what else!
The name BOSS Zone is, of course, a deliberate tribute to BOSS Area, which was for many years the most authoritative and complete set of this information. Having received permission from the original author to rehouse his content in a new site, we present it here alongside newly updated information.
